profession in Yemen. In Israel, Worked in the Tel-Aviv City Hall
department for the betterment of the city's image.
A self-taught scholar, well versed in the Bible and in Jewish
commentary.

His
only sister- Hadassah Sharabi Mizrahi
Her story:
"Israel Yeshayahu came to Israel from Yemen without his parents and
brothers. Only in Israel did he learn of the birth of his sister in
Yemen. He wrote a letter to his parents and asked them to name her
Hadassah. Several years later he sent his family the necessary
certificates so that they could come to Israel. He sponsored
Hadassah's education in the Levinsky Seminar, while, at the same
time, she served in the "Hagana" (pre I.D.F military forces) and
participated in the War of Independence.
Subsequently, she spent many years teaching and educating
generations of students in Zichron Ya'akov, where she married a
member of the settlement, Yaakov Mizrachi, who
was the school headmaster at the time. They established a home and a
farm, where they raised their three children: Dalia, Adi and
Einat.
